What does QFT offer you?

Classic career fairs have key limitations since they are targeted to established companies such as multinationals, consulting firms, insurances and banks, but do not cater to fast growth firms. Additionally, MBAs are increasingly joining high growth firms, but are rarely given the platform to meet them.

With this in mind, the first Quest for Talent was launched in 2010 to great success.  Over 200 MBA students attended this event from top European business schools such as ESADE, IESE, INSEAD, HEC, and LBS.  These students met with over 20 high growth companies from throughout Europe.  Many concrete partnerships arose both between companies and students, and between companies themselves.  2011 expanded upon the initial success, again drawing in numerous high-growth companies and MBA students for a highly acclaimed event.

The ESADE Entrepreneurship Club is excited to build upon the success of the last two years.  The event will include a panel discussion, a networking platform, and a case competition to highlight student’s business acumen.  Additionally, all attending companies will have the option to participate in weekend leisure activities in beautiful Barcelona, providing a platform for further networking.

If unable to physically attend, this year we are also offering the opportunity to present remotely via VOIP to attendees!!!

Participating Students:
In 2011 and 2010, International MBA students attended from top European MBA schools, including:
•    ESADE, Barcelona, Spain
•    IESE, Barcelona, Spain
•    Insituto de Empresa, Madrid, Spain
•    London Business School, London, United Kingdom
•    INSEAD, Fontainebleau, France
•    HEC, Paris, France
•    ESSEC, Paris, France

ESADE appreciates that the key to business success in a changing environment is hiring the right people at the right time. A partnership with ESADE provides you with privileged access to exceptional talent and a unique and personalized recruitment experience.

Rigorous admissions.
As ESADE climbs the rankings, the increasing volume of applicants gives us a larger and more varied pool of candidates year on year. ESADE insists on a high minimum requirement of academic ability, professional experience and leadership potential.

Adaptive high performers.

ESADE graduates are prepared for the most challenging of multi-cultural environments as a result of the ESADE focus on teamwork, which fosters an environment of collaboration versus one of simple individual performance and provides corporate partners with candidates ready to take on senior leadership positions in any team setting.

Entrepreneurial mindset.

As a core module of the MBA, the entrepreneurship track assists students in applying recently learned management principles to an authentic business situation. In the recent economic climate, ESADE has recognised the importance of “Intrapreneurism” in organisations and adapted the syllabus appropriately. With an established entrepreneurship centre and it’s very own centre for innovation, ESADECREAPOLIS, ESADE makes every effort to foster an innovative approach to doing business.

Diversity.

With students from over forty-three countries we are proud to be one of the most diverse business schools in the world. In addition to geographical diversity, our classes are characterized by students from a multitude of educational and employment backgrounds. Employers are continually impressed by the candidates’ wide range of skills, experience
and language abilities and at the global recruitment possibilities with a single visit on campus.

Dear Participant,
As you have been informed during the registration process, one of the main
added values of our conference for YOU is the opportunity to get young,
motivated, and talented MBA students to propose solutions to some of your
company’s most pressing problems in the form of a case study.
Form:
• 1 page preferred, additional information optional.
Content:
• Cases will describe a current, real business challenge faced by each
submitting company.
• The cases are not expected to go into detail or to disclose any
confidential or strategically sensitive information. They should be
general enough to protect your information but descriptive enough
so that the students understand the context and the challenge to a
degree which will allow them to deliver realistic proposals.
• Cases seek to demonstrate the creativity and problem solving skills of
the students while giving participating companies ideas for resolving
real challenges that they are facing!
• Groups will have time to review the cases in advance and will present
their proposals in a pitch style, 5-7 minute presentation. An
additional 5-7 minutes will be allotted for Q&A.
• Each company will hear multiple presentations, giving the company a
range of potential solutions.
Companies will decide which team has delivered the best
presentation based on:
◦ The evident understanding of the problem by the team
◦ The viability of implementation of the solution
◦ The potential value generation potential of the solution
• Company’s wishing to discuss the case in more detail with a particular
team may do so in a separate space after the competition.
• On the following page a sample case study can be found.
